I’m thinking about making the jump to arch. On Debian right now. Love the stability, but old packages are a pain. Do you have an elevator pitch for why arch?

likewise, i currently run Debian on my main workstation based on stability, but i think Arch has improved a ton over the last couple of years, especially with their archinstall script that's included the ISO (making it even easier to install than Debian).. ..i've been running Arch on a test machine and some VMs for couple of months now and they've all worked without any issues.. ..the latest packages (+ AUR) make it feel better suited to "desktop" use than Debian if you are willing to run system updates every few days.. ..my current Debian install on my workstation is a few years old and i want to do a clean install at some point to clean up the cruft, so might just switch to Arch.. ..with Timeshift backups, i think it would be a relatively safe and stable bet
