I find it very bizarre that get replies to your tweets is penalized. One would think that a platform like this would try to maximize time spent on the platform. A like is 1ms engagement vs replies, which keep people on the platform for longer.

What this tells me is that Twitter is trying to maximize one way communications instead of conversations.

That is, pontification vs dialogue.

Very interesting for sure. I find it funny how it says controversial ideas or misinformation gets penalised. Probably why I am so bad at twitter.

Misinformation is a very subjective concept, but what it tells me is that no free-thinking shall be allowed.

So basically pontification of main stream ideas. It’s like they’re trying to replicate the old TV model.
