The chipmaker, out of an abundance of caution, is going to remove the present debug functions which theoretically could be accessed physically on Jade that was pwned through some other mechanism, and that will no doubt be available in an upcoming firmware.

There is no identified attack on the Jade, and they've admitted 'backdoor' was erroneous language.
