You are laughing about something that you've never been part of. The early days of Bitcoin where most people were interested in on boarding their local merchants and bars. BTC prowdly powered by BlackRock gave up on that. And that's where we are with Monero.

You will profit in the future. But there will be a price for liquid BTC flowing into illiquid Monero.

It was fun while Monero price went down. Will it be fun when Monero price goes up. I think so.

Not sure what you’re talking about, but living life off of gift cards sucks. There’s nothing wrong with using Monero as a means of exchange and then cashing out when you need to.

I found gift cards (nostr:npub1j9qyxka5lck4tw50v7qfrs6gdwczz5ydt7ugqy6nhuva9p6dpy5q8rs2yg or nostr:npub1m7r9aayrqjtt2q0whkyrwlys75s5d828c5uewvqwyfd2kxefkfjqgeny2w) very convenient. Filling the tank or some shopping has less friction than going thru a “contract. And no banks involved. Of course not always. I’d like to read more opinions and solutions

It’s certainly better than the alternative (which is nothing).

In terms of gift cards, the more generic, the better. Like a plain visa gift card would be amazing. But Amazon/walmart would be good secondarily. Even then though, you can’t take 20 of that and give it to a friend etc. it’s just limiting.

Look up "Catima" in f-droid. It's a great app for those who collect gift cards for everyday spending.
