Probably would be better if you didn’t get a license, forcing you to do it in an untraceable manner, which would be much more useful.

Those laws are tyrannical imo.

https://www.arrl.org/getting-licensedΒ  TIL you need to pass a test to use HAM radio.

Yup. Where I am they are 10x harder but do it once for life. Same for call signs. Mine till i die, my family gets first dibs on them too.

I’ve got a license. All I remember from the training is to not broadcast music and to say your call sign every 10ish minutes.

I don't mean to brag or anything, but my wife is has her HAM radio operator license.Β πŸ˜‚

She must really love you if she married a non HAM πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Tell her your are her XYL before you google it.

Will do, one sec.

"honey, i haven't touched a HAM radio since 8th grade or maybe 10th grade...i don't know what that means..."

I’m not sure how easy that is to execute though, to be honest.

I’ve been wondering if anyone has thought to persist a signal of the current block and how easy that would be/well that would work

If blocks were below 300kb we could board cast them whole via lower HF bands. Essentially buy all the failing AM stations and make them into block broadcasters, without half hemisphere reach on a bad day.

Blockcasters - like the old town clock, but far better

Yes, and do it! The license test learning is actually a good education on the subject
