Germany 🇩🇪: The German government announced plans to impose stricter controls on all of the country’s land borders in what it called an attempt to combat illegal immigration. The controls within what is normally a broad free movement area — the European Schengen zone — will begin on 16/09 and will initially last for six months, said Interior Minister Nancy Faeser on Monday (9).
