SoftWar by Jason Lowery.

I haven’t read it. Anyone with thoughts on this? I’ve seen him speak many times.

If BTC is peace then it’s hard to argue against his thesis that digital power > digital energy. Power is just energy with a purpose and that purpose is security in his world view.

I’ve read a part of it after listening to him speak for a few hours (3-6) I was disappointed by the lack of technical depth in the section I read. I currently think his idea sounds better than it really is. I have no idea why he thinks nation states would use bitcoin or similar to secure stuff

Other than his understanding of that process being undeveloped.

Jason Lowery doesnt appear to understand the technical side of Bitcoin, mining and whats actually being secured. I dont have the physical book but have a PDF. The parts Ive skimmed left me under the impression that he weaved together buzzwords but mostly nonsense. He'll do well in a gov middle management position where hes neither responsible for actual implementation or earnest strategy decisions.

Yeah, he struggled 1-1 with Marty on the technical stuff. That was apparent to me.

he is framing future understanding of war power. hes very inteligent but its also likely hes a double agent. 🤷🏾‍♂ The Men Who Stare at Goats️
