This is not the way forward. Leaving a federal system because you are currently paying more comes at the expense of other provinces. In other generations you could be benefit from this and there is interprovincial migration that you benefit from.

I can see abolishing CPP or having each province be independent, but not majority in and a few out.

Good morning!

Thanks so much for engaging. You feel that staying with Canada is going to help us in the future. I encourage you to understand the history of "Confederation".

You can find more information here on this regard.

Canada will never benefit Alberta and it can not simply because of the representation outlays.

If you have any questions I am available you can message me.

Warm regards.

Thank you for the link. I have watched and will continue to so I can learn more about the reasons.

This reminds me of when I lived in northern Ontario. They built an Ontario run casino. The few times I went into it, most of the customers were elderly who just looking for an activity. I’d hear stories of how they would lose their savings to gambling. Then I heard how casino profit sharing took the money out of our community. I’d visit Toronto and be frustrated that my city was funding programs in the area that seemed to already have so much.

This story is not me voicing my support. It is only a small example of how a well intentioned decision can inadvertently have winners and losers.

I am disappointed in Canada. A province should never want to be independent.

Why should a province never be independent as a country? That is like saying that you don't believe in divorce in even the most extreme cases. If the man beats her and abuses her to the point of near death should she stay? Yes, I am likening the province to an abused wife as the similarities are very real.

Our black eye is the interest bearing fiat that we we use for our infrastructure. It's bloody and will take a while to stop smarting.

As Rogers Smith said, "We can't get a divorce cause we are not even married!".

So then there is that. However that is a topic for a total different day!

Well, consider: firing every current liberal politician (starting from scratch), ending all current affiliations with every state in Europe, re-joining the US as their largest trading partner, and declaring socialism as a terrorist ideology (woke mind virus included).

That's what it would take for me. Anything less and I'll be lookin forward to my future right to bear arms. Actually, I'm lookin forward to that either way.

Memo received or not, socialism is over.

I believe separating money from state is a key solution to this. If the government couldn’t print money and depended on its citizens to fund then a lot of these programs wouldn’t exist. It would take us back to a time where we were more practical.

You're not wrong but the Alberta Treasury Branch is a beacon in the darkness.
