I like that he is open to discourse. Would be interesting to know what’s his take on a few things :
On capitalism :
I think genuinely helping Midwest, suburbs, rural, country in terms of sales, technology, and export is much needed.
Closure of small businesses impacts local supply chain which increases import dependency from China. With US high tariff, cogs and retail price shoots up. In the end the people suffer.
On Gun rights :
Sensitive subject. I think what’s lacking is asking the people about it. Capture ideas from down south on their ideas of reducing school gun violence. Speak to momma’s from the hood, the brothers and the gangs. Growing up, my neighbours were the biggest gangs in my hood and my dad a rev lol. They have decent conversations. Genuinely ask for their thoughts and ideas.
On CIA and drugs :
I personally think CIA shifted direction from right to left post Nixon, alongside capitalism. John Potash’s books covers a lot on black musicians, black leaders, CIA suppression of them esp through fake media and drugs.
Also from Boyz and the hood (old movie by Ice Cube, Cuba Gooding Junior) - one part he will ask why is there a liquor store at every row in the hood? Who is bringing in the drugs? Tackling what progress from opioid addiction to heroin to meth is a big win.
On Bitcoin :
I think it would be great to have his thoughts on mining, energy and Bitcoin - esp on how it can stabilise the grid.
Would he consider providing discounts on solar panel installation and offloading access power for Bitcoin mining ? Would he look into advancing other green energies ?
On Assange and Snowden :
Recently Bitcoin Magazine did a cover photo of ordinal NFT of Assange. I love the publicity but hate that it’s a wasted effort in releasing Assange.
Bitcoin magazine can do more. And they can work with RFK to get more people, esp people on the left to debate press media freedom, on ethics of war, on government snooping around on the people etc.
Before 70’s, pre Nixon, anti war was a left movement ie beatnik/hippie. rights were for war. But times have changed.
And both Bitcoin mag and RFK can go nationwide - get more kids in high schools, colleges and adults to start talking abt these topics. Have competitions on what best portrays press freedom and privacy through art, act, installations, articles, expressions etc.
