It recently came to my attention that some of y’all can’t #zap me. Other clients as well but particularly the #bug was nobody could tip me from #iris and #amethyst clients. I received zaps from Damus just fine. Stinks to be me. I assure you I had a wallet attached. I was using #getalby to create my keys and loaded and created my nostr profile on #snort but then linked a #WalletofSatoshi to an instance of the same account in #Damus and all that didn’t play nice for some reason. I followed fairly closely the first part of the getting started tutorial from Jack Spirko over at #tsp but decided I preferred the Wallet of Satoshi interface on mobile and that’s where everything went wrong. If you did the same process, this may be your fix too. Do it on a PC, because you probably got into this whole mess on a PC. Here’s the 10 easy steps:

1. Visit getalby extension in your browser and click the ACCOUNTS tab.

2. Click the bar with your account. There should only be one at this point.

3. Click the EXPORT under your address.

4. You will be using your LNDhub Credentials. You don’t have to read or understand it, just Ctrl C (copy) them. Don’t share them elsewhere. It seems very private.

5. Head over to snort.social and ensure that you are logged in with your private nostr keys and that you can post to your account etc. Click on the WALLET button. (Sometimes it looks like a BITCOIN button)

6. Now the terrifying part that held me back for days, but then I wanted to delete my entire account and start over anyway. 😬 It looks terrifying, but it’s only for your wallet account. This is the corrupt part that keeps you from receiving #zaps so it’s gotta go!

7. See you still have an account. Whew. Click CONNECT WALLET.

8. Click LNDHUB button.

9. Paste the LNDhub CREDENTIALS URI that you copied from Getalby. Click CONNECT.

10. Message me #[10]​ to let me know either way if it helped, or if it didn’t work. Let’s get it figured out.
