When I buy #Bitcoin what does the #fiat money trail look like? Is it like buying #tomatoes as in there is the producer and a bunch of middle men (all clipping the ticket) then the final consumer, me? Or am I missing something?

If you buy from an exchange, the exchange is typically selling you BTC directly from a miner (which they can buy at a slight discount) or from another user.
