I’m looking at a plethora of things.

1. I’m grateful for the reaction and harnessing of the positive energy for e/acc after Beff Jezos was doxxed by Forbes but I am thinking deeply about the broader implications. I’m nervous that it was an institutional show of power to anyone in tech wishing to use a pseudonym to create change without their blessing. I think those in positions of power are very willing to flex their muscles right now. That was a warning shot.

2. I’m also trying to decide how likely it is that they will decide to implement the below. I wasn’t expecting them to suggest something this aggressive. I have been expecting the ID and credit card for years, this suggestion is very aggressive from a privacy perspective.

3. I’m realizing that there isn’t really a way to report AI generated CSAM to an org. As of right now, it would still go to NCMEC but it should be broken into a different report flow. I’m not really sure how to fix that so I’m thinking about that. I’m not sure what’s the best option. Perhaps I’m unable to locate where reports are being handled for that specific content in the US.

4. Outside of that I’m really just enjoying some of the parallel societies conversations although it’s hard for me to keep up because I’ve located pockets online that are discussing what I’m interested in learning about but they speak way above my head. It’s still fun for me.

Jesus! Scary proposal and I wouldn't expect to to even be effective. Very bad for privacy. Credit cards are effective for verifying age. The other day a customer in my store (21+ because we sell nicotine) tried to pay with her daughter's card and my PoS declined it because the account holder was underage.

Free sites like pornhub could charge a one time $1 charge to verify age to gain entry. They could even refund the charge. Snoopy AI is not the way! How would that even work? Seems more invasive and less effective.

The suggestion above would be extreme. Privacy rights groups will probably smash it. That being said they went extreme to get the ID verification through.

“Alright, we will settle for ID verification” -the government still getting what they want
