Grass is so tall it's hard to find the lambs out there. Seems that everyone is swimming in hay this year around here. Ironically, we scaled back the number of ewes we have due to slight over grazing last year. Now, it seems we could use a few more sheep to eat up all this grass.

Katahdin hair sheep heading to ideal pasture
Pasture like this is what I'm trying to achieve all across the homestead. Good mix of legumes and grass with other plants for diversity. Not too tall, stemmy or seedy. Just heaps of exactly what the sheep love to eat. This paddock also has built in shade and water in the form of a spring. The will be here for 3 days or so.
