7 years ago I've went out for Archery practice. Here were the results. Could this be good enough for hunting? Should I train more?

Looks legit to me. They won't know what hit 'em.

I think the real question is, at what range, and what are you looking to hunt? If you were to tell me turkey, I'd say work at it, white tail or mule deer, borderline, something like elk or moose, you're probably OK. I'm in the US, so using US species, translate to your own if you're not. Assuming you get as close as you were for these shots.

Then again, archery's fun, so why not both?

Thanks I'm not actively pursuing hunting with the bow it's more a fantasy survival skill I'm marginally decent at without practice. I saw rabbits at closer distance so I'd say I would probably take one in five from closer range as long as I manage to be stealth enough πŸ˜‚

Fair. I'm actually not set up with a bow yet, but I'm helping my daughter practice in hopes of taking a white tail deer this fall. She's got the full, expensive hunting bow, but I'm not going to let her take a shot unless 4/5 shots at that distance are within a paper plate sized target. And I know her first shot at an animal is unlikely to be as good as she is capable of. The excitement/nervousness is real.

Very cool! Always enjoyed #backpacking πŸ”οΈ and now my aim is to do a solo or small group #bowhunt hunt of #elk in the πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ.

I’m getting excited about the possibilities after a few more #bitcoin halvings to be able to travel to South America and other parts to see what the #archery 🏹 #hunting 🦌 scene is like πŸ€™.

Glad to meet frens πŸ«‚ on #nostr with similar interests thanks πŸ™ to #grownostr
