Still not convinced on why #bitcoin is a far superior money????

Well…. Story time that might be worth a share!

Ive had this folded up $20 USD bill in my phone case for 8 years now but I keep it there as a little laugh as to how I even own it and as a reminder of how FIAT dollers are just worthless pieces of paper slowly disintegrating in our pockets over time!

The story behind me even having it is this….

Im English, born and raised but at 24 years old I moved to Australia alone to pursue a new life of adventure….

My mum wanted to send me some money for my birthday and she knew only that Australia uses Dollers… Little did she know that they use Australian Dollers not US Dollers 🤣

Anyway… I recieved my $20 USD and LMAO everytime I looked at it that the sentimental value of it became priceless even though the note itself is useless to me… 🤷🏼‍♂️

Also factor in that she paid $5 just to send the money overseas from UK to Australia!!

Moving on I done some thinking and calculated what its true value would be today if I ever wanted to exchange it for AUD or spend it (8 years later) and its now only worth $16.14 USD… its lost 50 cents for every year ive had it!! 😑

This got me thinking…. What if she sent me $20 worth of #bitcoin 8 years ago (in 2015) to my wallet instead of the $20 USD cash in my hand??? how much #btc would I have got, how much would she have saved in postage fees, exchange rate fees and how much would it be worth today 8 years later (#btc was $450 around that time which would have been 0.04 #btc)

That very 0.04 #btc would be worth a staggering $1,400 USD today!!!

Still not sure about #bitcoin? Just buy $20 worth today, stash it in cold storage and forget about it…… Check back in 10 years!!!
