Cool. I’ll have to check this out. I have memories of the clan coming together to butcher a hog every autumn when I a kid. It stopped for some reason when I was 10-11. I’m not sure why. I think maybe my granddad’s buddy from the lodge that raised the pigs for us died. We cooked the other one for the 4th of July every year. I’d be willing to pay for the hog to get it going again but it seems unlikely given the feuding going on between relatives now. I guess I’ll just remember the good times.

I’ll remember my MSB discount next time. Maybe. If I remember.

Good memories! Sucks that it stopped. Maybe one day it'll be a reason for people to set aside their differences?

Maybe. Both sides to the conflict are being irrational IMO. Sad part is the person that got the ball rolling died several years ago. I’m about the only one that still gets along with both sides. Anyway theres ownership of probably a million dollars worth of land involved so I expect it to continue. I hope it doesn’t but we’ll see. Money does funny things to people.

Yes it does, and feuds have a way of outliving anybody who remembers why it began.

Yeah my sister got involved because of an off hand comment to my uncle about having my dad come with her to pick up some stuff my grandmother wanted her to have. She didn’t know about what was going on between my dad and his brother. Sad all around.

Sounds like a mess smh

Oh yeah. It started with my dad and grandmother and expanded out from there. Shame. My grandmother went through it with her brother over the same piece of land actually. I thought she’d have known better but apparently not.
