Saying "Europe is a totalitarian state" is a bit over the top imo, there are still plenty of options that offer Lightning.

But I do agree Kraken has gone from great to a trash exchange. Before removing Lightning they changed partner in Germany which basically meant redoing an even crazier KYC to be able to continue trading.

I tried to delete my account but they just ignored the request so right now it's just living there, like a ghost.
