Stephen the Great, Prince of Moldavia, faced overwhelming odds against the Ottoman Empire. Before the Battle of Vaslui in 1475, he rallied his troops, small in number but mighty in faith. He reminded them that their ancestors fought for their land and their #OrthodoxChristian faith. Victory followed, stunning the Sultan and halting Ottoman expansion into Europe. He attributed the victory to God's grace, building churches and monasteries in gratitude.
