Single sig plus passphrase is basically 2 of 2 multisig with two single points of failure. I'd go m of n multisig where m < n.

Are you saying that 2 of 2 multisig is somehow just as, or even more, vulnerable than a single sig without passphrase? Because you need both, the prior seems safer than the latter. Glad to learn. Please explain your reasoning.

They're comparable since single sig + passphrase basically is multisig. It's personal preference, but I like the extra flexibility of not needing all components to unlock funds.
