A love letter.
About 25 years ago, the Internet was really amazing. It was a cradle of ideas. Any child could play, mix and create things... and it could result in great success.
But then gradually some "boxes" began to appear. Friendster and Orkut had a whole universe of information only for those who had an account. Years later, Facebook did the same.
Now, there is no longer grassroots innovation. Good luck to a little kid trying to create something new. Nobody will see it. Everyone spends all their time on apps from big tech companies. To have a chance on the Internet today, you need venture capital and years of spending millions in the red. A strange economic model of the fiduciary world.
Look at the average person. What do they do a lot of time online? WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Zoom, TikTok. THEY REALLY THINK THAT'S THE INTERNET!!!
