Hey again :) I’m sorry if I made it sound worse than it actually is. I’m from Turkey. The problem here is not about safety but the same guy is leading the country for more than 20+ years. Even if he advertises himself as the only hope for stability for the future of our country a lot of people can see clearly that he is the actual reason for all the instability. What is even more sad people actually vote for a system change that make the parliament almost irrelevant and put all the power to the president. Now he can use all the possibilities of a huge government behind him to make an Election campaign for himself. The last but not least opposition leaders is not even aware of the weight they should be carrying on their shoulders because that weight arise from our hopes and our fears for the future of our childeren.

So even it is not an end there is another election this sunday. I fear people will select the same guy again. And he will recieve it as a message that peole approved everything he did till know so he can continue and even raise hands. I secretly afraid this might be the last (semi-democratic) election we had. The election itself is the last tool that we use for democracy and that might be taken away like protesting, or civil society organizations etc…

The most weird of all is probably the people from other countries Syria, Lebanon, Morocco talks like this leader we have is the best thing ever happened to us or something. Which is extremely frustrating…

Anyway sorry for ranting. What about you. Where and how did gas thing happened? Where do you live now?
