This is not intended as trolling, but what are the chances that we get all of that cheap energy, abundant safe AI, and an economy which supports everybody’s basic needs without quantum computing?

Won’t bitcoin need to be replaced by an equivalent which uses quantum resistant cryptography? And also I get saying that bitcoin mining isn’t the carbon emissions problem critics say, but how does it create cheap energy? Feel free to send me to some FAQ as I’m sure this has been answered before.

The energy question is fascinating. Bitcoin allows for 1. adding elasticity to the grid to support demand response, 2. harvesting stranded energy, and 3. incentivizing research into more efficient production and use of energy.

Radiating a medium sized countries' worth of energy into outer space now considered a good thing.

energy abundance is good, yes
