I think it's just ignorance of how to use bitcoin. Just the idea of setting up a wallet on your phone.. We should see a guide:Step one... Open a little account at your favorite bank.. 2: Put a few bucks in the new account.. 3: Find a wallet that works on your phone..4: I started with using Strike, and still like it.. So go through the process with Strike. 5:You'll come to a point where you will link that little Bank account to your Strike account. 6: Send a few bucks from that little bank account to your Strike account.. 7: Now, you can use those few bucks in your Strike account to buy and hold some Bitcoin in your Strike account too.. Everything has a documented history. Along the way, start looking into Bitcoin Lightning. Maybe you'll even take a look at Nostr too.. Well, that's what I could come up with.. Did I miss anything?

For a restaurant owner, could it be as easy as just having a bitcoin wallet on your phone? I understand the time it takes for a transaction to happen, but couldn't the business owner just request the patron pay half way through dinner by sending BTC to the owner's phone? Heck even if each waiter/waitress had their own phone, the restaurant bank account wallet could be on all of them, couldn't it? All could reconcile at the end of their shifts.. The tech is there now to set up a central account too.. Seems this would be so simple. Someone just has to take the plunge.
