I want to selfhost a CDN of some sorts, just to make it easy to upload and post images on nostr without relying on imgur etc. Anyone got any recommendations?

Would be cool to be able to configure my nostr client to upload media to my CDN and post an event with a link to that image/video
Not sure what self-hosted cdns there are that are good, but you'd need a decent server if you ever want to serve video files (maybe nowadays this is more of a non issue). I use cloudinary to host my media files I post on nostr, they have a free plan and API that I want to implement in alphaama to do exactly that
Yeah true, but serving smaller mp4 shouldn't be a problem I think. The most important feature for me is image sharing though.

Ohh that's exciting! How do you plan that to work? Will users be able to configure connection details in the astral settings and then media is uploaded to their own "media server"?
yep, pretty straightforward. connection details will be from NIP05 (since thats already stored on the nostr network) so you would have to host from your NIP05 domain.
