Yeah I also checked out somewhere around there. There's a way to do a nuanced satire on Tech billionaires, but I don't think this is it.
Also the background plot of "deepfakes ruin the world" is sort of trite. I kept thinking "Nostr solves this," or even more simply, SSL solves this. AI can fake images and (soon) video but they can't fake public key cryptography. People are going to have to stop communicating news over "here's a screenshot on Twitter" and start actually trusting verified, on-the-ground reporting.
