I believe so, they’ve done testing on it. Ima grab a red light off Amazon this week. I’ll let you know.
I recommend using one or two 250W heat lamps. Your local hardware store will have them for keeping chicks warm after they hatch. They have wider near-IR spectrum than LEDs and are more representative of evening sunlight. They are also cheaper.
