people go on vacation to foreign nations & not plan where they’re going to live throughout their trip?

it is probably common for tourists to overstay or never leave, especially in america. putting tourists in a jail for not having accommodations for their entire trip seems excessive though.

we are going to see a growing number of excesses in that area i suspect.

i’m afraid so. some agents have their own ideas of how to enforce, it seems.

i think that is exactly it.

from where i am sitting, we havent yet dealt with toxic law enforcement culture.

that phenomenon ruins so many great cops and good ideas.

it’s true. one bad actor can ruin it for many bec the news media milks it dry.

Tourism is dead. There’s no coming back from any of this.

it will scare some people, but not all. they don’t have enough jails.

That’s true, but fear is not the only emotion at play here.

In any case, a marginal reduction of 5 to 10 percent (if not more) is deep recession for that sector. Many, many businesses won’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

if this excessiveness continues, yes. i think the stories we hear are the dumb power hungry agents who think they can do whatever they want to enforce.
