I think I'm going to drop amethyst as one of my nostr apps. Besides the weird black and white big (got resolve with an update) the performance has been atrocious since the relay change.

Yeah, and it's buggy but generally working. Amethyst has been pretty much borked for me since the code change. Turned everything black and white and now it just hangs all the time
When was that push? Was on it earlier today no issues
It's been like this for weeks
For me too the first updates weren't better, but then thw lasts improved it a lot. My experience now is betwrr than it was 2 months ago in some aspects, but still a bit buggy in loading things sometimes, passing on Global, and going back on All follows helps to connect to different and more relays.
Anyway the last primal is very very good, the streaming ia a big plus they didn't have 🤙🏼

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Too bad, because amethyst has the best UI, imo
Yeah, nothing against it or the devs. Just unusable for me. I used primal for search and working lists but did a lot of conversation with amethyst
Amethyst is the antidote to Nostr mass adoption. An app like a fever dream.
I dropped it after the v1 update and switched to Primal, rebuilding my mute list painfully which was the only reason I sticked with Amethyst since Inception.
It was good for a long time, android didn't have great options but this recent one has been a mess
