The American people are a reflection of the American government…living on debt that can’t be repaid.
The government, however, can counterfeit (via The Fed) which allows them to run on fumes just a little while longer.

It's a feature, not a bug. I wish monetary expansion didn't depend on consumerism and debt, but here we are.
