A 3D printer could be such a great anti-consumerism product , oh you want a new set of plates , feed it your old plates to get the new ones

Imagine a world where baseline common knowledge includes graphics design, 3d printing, and homesteading. And the economy runs on bitcoin. "Progress" would be liberated from corporations. We'd share print files to build our own cars. Building spaceships in your barn could be a common hobby.
