I am slightly regretting my life choices since I discovered I could have got a job working on a cruise ship playing keyboards in the onboard band, only having to work most evenings.

Not a bad way for saving dosh, you don’t have any day to day living expenses, know a few people who’ve done it… sounds like it has a shelf life though, could be good for a year or so before becoming tedious.

I lived in Greece for a year when I was 18 DJing, working in a kitchen and fixing beach chairs, absolutely wonderful time… actually thinking about it, maybe I should go back!

I worked in a piano and organ shop in south east London, playing them to demonstrate to customers.

That sealed my decision, my boss was in his 40's, a much better musician than me and a depressed alcoholic who felt he'd wasted his life.
