Great that the home assistant updates worked.

I am currently cross posting from Nostr to Mastodon, therefore my username is probably somehow weired. Interesting that it works.

So there is a bridge called https://mostr.pub/ which connects both worlds. I am also running a single user instance of Mastodon (mat@activitypub.mnethome.de) but since a few weeks I am more active in the Nostr network.
