my lovely dear wife was given a very easy beginner book on BTC to read more than 8 weeks ago..
Messages me yesterday - the book isn't doing it for here and its doom and gloom.. asks for another book..
There is literally nothing else ive found that can explain BTC in a more simple way to absolute beginners..

I've never found a book that takes doggie coin seriously, most don't even mention it. I would never recommend a book as a source of info on cryptocurrency unless I found a really good one

yeah - that message was an eye opener.. even the closest person to me doesn't get it.. scary but the saying everyone gets BTC at the price they deserve - in this case I mean the educational aspect because she has more BTC than most people on planet earth because at $16k she gave me money more to shut me up than anything else...
if I have given recommendations of books and educational content too 200 people... maybe 5 have actually done the work..
2 people have bought knowing what they own.. so the "success rate" as a % is increasingly low..
Im working on myself but my small stack is my safe guard - we still live in FIAT so having the ability to stack as much as possible is tough but NOSTR and people on here do help..

Maybe she needs no book but rather an outline of how both fiat and btc work and where they diverge? A book may be less effective for to consume the info for her. (Sry, I don't have a good video to recommend.)

doom and gloom in the book and the book in my opinion is the least "doomy gloomy" in the BTC book space..

The population has been programmed for their entire lives. Trying to undo the programming is somewhat impossible, they have to have a certain level of consciousness to want to question things and have the ability to accept new information without triggering cognitive dissonance. As someone else mentioned, continue what you know to be right and true.. others have to for the most part do it for themselves. As you did.
spot on.. but living in a world where you believe one thing and "everyone else" believes CNN is rather hard.. and im well aware that I could be completely wrong.. ill be the first one to put my hand up and say "I fucked this one up" - highly doubt it.. because humans are greedy for paper..

I feel you man, I was surrounded by those people, both family & friends and had to walk away. That’s the difference, the people on the other side will never admit fault. This mass global scale social engineering that is happening, is deeply rooted in human psychology & narcissism. I believe the “ruling class” has been doing it for centuries, just with different tools and narratives.. but the same tactic. There has always been useful idiots that are used by them, most people cannot critically think for themselves and that was proven during the “pandemic”.

I just had this conversation with someone last night, she was having a conversation at work with an older coworker and bitcoin came up, and the person had an absolute meltdown over it.. it’s like trump derangement syndrome but on bitcoin lol. You can’t talk to people like this, it doesn’t matter what facts or logical info you bring to the table. Not to get too personal but I wasn’t married, and it wasn’t me that walked away.
Yeah.. I know what you mean.. because politics in where I live is a non event.. it’s XRP vs BTC - but that’s 100% unit bias stupidity but whatever.. what will be will be!
