I haven’t done it super recently. I go through spells of doing morning pages which is basically flow writing.

I find it helps.

I usually only write when there’s a ton going on and my minds running in circles.

Writing gives them space to escape and find a home elsewhere.

Would be more helpful if I did it more consistently.

Particularly a gratitude journal.

I read about a couple that tries to find things to be grateful for throughout the day, take a pic and sends it to their spouse. They started doing this when they realized most of their conversations revolved around complaining to each other. I started occasionally doing this with friends and family. They started reciprocating without knowing what I was doing or where I stole the idea.
