that one has put a cloud between me and MSc CS housemate for over 24 hours now.
i know it can't be true because the only way to get NAT to do this is via TCP and there is no way to forward ports to a private internal address without either the inside opening it by sending outwards to the target, and without that being open, there can be no bidirectional.
sure, UPNP or manually configured port forwarding on one side. but not without that condition.
