People continue to be a mystery to me.

So, for some context, being a wine shop, we have some pretty rich clientele. Some people will just come in and casually spend a thousand bucks on wine during lunch.

We have these one pair of regulars that are pretty well to do, but they're kind of assholes. They don't really respect service workers. I personally think they are cunts. And my co-workers complain about them fairly frequently.

But the thing that utterly fucking boggles my mind That's my co-workers still kiss their ass because occasionally they'll do something like give them an expensive bottle of wine or give them tickets to a sports game. Or give them a glass of whatever expensive bottle of wine they brought in.

Like, is there something I'm missing? Why the fuck would they talk so much shit behind these people's back And then turn around and accept their gifts, and pretend like they're friends.

Maybe I'm the one with a stick up my ass, but I don't accept their gifts. I don't pretend to be their friends So I can get some kind of handout from them. But it boggles my mind to see my co-workers cow-tow to these people. It feels like they don't have any pride or dignity.

Anyways, that's my morning thoughts on people being not understandable.
