Don’t overlook this sentence in the Preamble of MiCA:
"Hardware or software providers of non-custodial wallets should not fall within the scope of this Regulation." [see: Item (83), Preamble, MiCA]
It shows the way forward.

The point is it is the way forward whether you trust them or not.
I'm an optimist. But when these people make a step forward, I expect two steps backwards. And this is optimistic.
