One reason I needed to keep updating my resume a while ago was that, although my initial ideas had already taken shape, they weren’t quite refined yet. Secondly, at the beginning, I thought I didn’t need to showcase my full capabilities to get an offer. But as more rejection letters came in, I realized that what I had been presenting might not be enough to open the door to success. So I gradually increased my effort—until now, when I’m giving it everything I’ve got. It’s like a race: if you think you can win with just 60–70% of your strength, you might choose, as I did, not to go all out at first.
