Crazy that my public bitcoin node at my office is one of only two in Adelaide. I’m sure there could be more that are hidden by tor and/or only outbound connections. But still blows my mind. How long until running a bitcoin node becomes the norm for everyone around the world?

I don't think running a node will ever be the norm. It doesn't really need to be. Tens of thousands is more than sufficient I think. Obviously the more the better and we should get that number as high as we possibly can. We need more satellite nodes imo.

I looked at that site recently. I can’t seem to get past all the pop ups for some reason.

Ah weird, looks like the data can be hit and miss. Just yesterday it only showed 2 (with mine included). Now it shows 7 total lol
