#contabo has shitty peering or something i guess cause I have this same problem with foreigners overseas, they get really shit download speed directly to my vps, but over cloudflare it is much faster, even if the latency is higher.

Cloudflare has A LOT of servers in the globe, and that makes the reason why cloudflare could did better at it.
