NEW: Tokyo Electric Power's subsidiary Agile Energy X has started using excess solar power to mine #Bitcoin, reducing energy waste from curtailment, which in 2023 caused losses of 1,920 GWh in 🇯🇵 Japan.

If 10% of that is used to mine, it could rack up to ¥360B ($2.5B) annually.
