The best argument is that the punishment is greater in a PoS network because if you successfully attack a PoW chain, you still have the hardware, whereas a PoS chain makes you ultimately loose the capital that you use to attack the system.

I asked and they answered, somewhat interesting read, some thought out answers, and some not so much.

very well stated question, good job! in my mind one of the biggest reasons for pow to win is that there are no rulers. but most of the responses seem to feel very good about eth devs being the rulers. we shall see. what project you working on?
