I am from #Jordan, and if you don’t know what that is, it’s a small country east of Israel.

The people in Jordan need Bitcoin, but of course no one can buy it. At least in a straightforward way. Therefore, adoption hasn’t been great.

I also never had a big goal in life. But I recently felt like I need to do this. I need to be an agent of change.

So I found the biggest Jordanian Bitcoin Facebook Group (that’s where most Jordanians interact on social media) and posted that I will be tipping people to their lightning wallets if they post them.

Guess what… crickets. They don’t even know what Lightning is, and we’re asking me what that is, and everyone thinking I’m trying to scam them. And that’s in the largest Bitcoin group. One guy did Share his wallet, so that was cool.

Any who, I want to teach them how to create wallets, how to use them, get them to slowly adopt Bitcoin a little more.

So I will be doing Tipping Spree Fridays (their weekend) and I will try to donate as many sats as I can.

I understand you don’t trust me. But if you feel like you want to help these new plebs. You know what to do.

Next step, bring them to nostr, but that needs time, it’s a long way from Facebook.
