Well technically state just issues you legally binding contract for taxing purposes and incase of the 50% speration rate. I personally think we should tax everyone equally. 😆.

My thoughts exactly. The state has no business defining or regulating what consenting individuals do together.
Even since childhood I've always found it crazy how everyone buys into the whole idea. The only reason for me is the financial incentives but they shouldn't be there as you say
We respect individual freedom, otherwise we wouldn't be libertarians
Likewise, the privileges extended by the state for marriage also should not exist, especially given that many pertain to not stealing from you what they otherwise would. Everything else should be accessible through freely entered contracts between any two or more people.
