.@CBS just sent this to me:

“I have received a letter from Rep. Ro Khanna, intended for Nicole Shanahan, urging her to step down as RFK Jr.'s running mate. In the letter, Rep. Khanna warns Shanahan that supporting Kennedy could aid Trump's return to the White House and have negative environmental consequences. According to Khanna, Shanahan sought his advice before accepting Kennedy's offer. CBS News plans to publish this story tomorrow morning. If you would like to comment, please note that my deadline is this evening.”

This is my full response to CBS (I want to bring this discussion back to the people, because I am beholden to you the people and not the corporate press):

"In my conversation with Ro he congratulated me on the position and encouraged me to run, stating that every American has the right to run in this country. He stated that we live in a democracy, and it was wrong for anyone to threaten me against running.

Clearly, Ro has changed his stance based on pressure from the party. I hope he understands how anti-democratic it is to ask someone to step down from a race that empowers the American public to make their own decisions.

I am very disappointed that he has been pressured into issuing this letter to me publicly. He could have called me privately. He has my direct line."

that's interesting. He is not wrong in the sense that your pairing with RFK will hurt Biden. But its a fair competition, its the right way to compete so that the people will pick the best. If anything, you'll should be good enough to hurt Trump too. But he is wrong in wanting political strategies for the democrats, because this is how true democracy gets tarnished.

In the 70s and 80s, the Appalachian people had stronger ties with the democratic side not for environmental reasons or abortion or anything that makes headline news, but simple because they listened to the people. After that they swapped sides and remained with the conservatives because the working class could not relate to the democrats (JD Vance wrote about this in his book Hillbilly Elegy)

At the end of the day, its about the people. That's all it should be about.

I also read Ro Khanna's book on entrepreneurial nation, in advocating manufacturing, it was a good book, he was transparent on a lot of political activities that went behind the scene. I hope his passion in advocating for the people remains.
