Alright please explain the war logs being put on #bitcoin to me like I’m 5 years old. I’ve wanted to ask since yesterday but was too embarrassed to ask. 😂
It sounds dope but I don’t get it but also #FreeAssange

What would you like to know? Simply put like you are 5, someone is using the ordinals protocols to setup and put the logs into inscriptions in bitcoin blocks. These will now be permanently a part of the bitcoin blockchain. However it is a bit more complex, as ordinals and inscriptions use taproot, the Nov 2021 bitcoin core upgrade. If someone runs a pre-taproot software, those blocks aren’t valid and seen by their node, however.
The key though is the blocks can’t be deleted, there forever as long as the full blockchain still exists somewhere by someone!
Hope that helps a bit?
Never be embarrassed to ask!
Still confused but it sounds cool. Thank you for explaining.
Lol! That's just because I suck at explaining. I'll try another route. First by gaining your knowledge.
Are you aware that the first bitcoin block had a special message?
No I wasn’t but that’s cool. I’m going to look into that today because it sounds interesting.
The first mined block contained a purposeful message inside the block:
"The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks."
It was placed there on purpose by Satoshi to show the demise of the fiat money and banking system.
And of course the need for bitcoin.
Anyone can put text into a block, their name, a short message, etc.
However, earlier this year, some bitcoin developers figured out how to put longer inscriptions(text) into a block via some 'hacks'(my term). Some made qr codes, ot bitmap images, some plain text, others fit a small game into a block, etc..
It has now been used for the war logs, Panama papers, other cables, 3d printed gun files, and on and on. Permanent and undeletable.
You need a special blockchain explorer to easily see them however.
You can go here:

To view the first of the inscriptions for wiki leaks.
Good luck! I hope this helps, lol.
