I've noticed something quite troubling: People often seem to despise intelligence and free thinking. It's as if there's a collective mindset geared towards statism and controlling others. This strikes me as deeply ironic, considering that the greatest act of love for another human being is to accept and celebrate their freedom.
As a person from generation "Alpha"(2010 - 2025), I've grown up in a world where information is readily accessible, and the ability to think critically is more important than ever. Yet, despite this, there seems to be a persistent push to conform and limit independent thought. It's disheartening to see how those who question the status quo or think differently are often ostracised or ridiculed.
This mentality of control and suppression of free thought is not just counterproductive, itβs harmful. When people are not allowed to think for themselves or express their ideas freely, it stifles innovation and progress. It creates a society where individuals are afraid to step outside the norm, leading to a stagnation of ideas and creativity.
True love and respect for another person involve recognising and upholding their right to think, speak, and act freely. It means accepting that they may have different views and respecting their autonomy. This is the foundation of a healthy, dynamic society where individuals can thrive and contribute meaningfully.
Fostering a culture of freedom and respect for individual intelligence is crucial. We should encourage each other to explore new ideas, question existing structures, and think independently. This, I believe, is the path to a more enlightened and progressive future, where every personβs potential is recognised and valued.
