So I noticed that this has been making the rounds here on Nostr.

As someone who has lived in China for a few decades I have no idea what this person is talking about. While it is true that you need to verify on payment apps like Alipay and Wechat, there's never been a time when I was required to verify via facial recognition.

I have no idea what is actually going on in this video, but I am fairly certain it has nothing to do with accessing payment platforms.
