Replying to Running Man

[Sit on draft for 2 days before you hit "post".

Yeah. 2 days later, I'm posting]

This is the type of institutional and societal break downs to expect as we chase yield/rent on energy in attempts to keep up.

Ziplock locks on your ziplock bags, don't lock!

Self check out at the grocery store is now just as fast as the live cashier check out. So why isn't my bill lower if I use the self check out?!

People walk into stores, grab shit and walk out without paying. I've seen this happen on many occasions in the last few months.

I visit my doctor for my annual physical (I only see dude once a year) he stuck his head in for a sec and said hi. Don't know who these other folks were. Students I presume. AM I HEALTHY?!

You drop your car off at the dealer (one you've been using for 10 years) for the regularly scheduled maintenance (60k miles) and there are loose parts, missing parts and rattling sounds when they return your car to you. So you have to go back 3 days later to have a hopefully improved customer experience.

You order a protein shake at a (suburban) train station booth that cost $11 (it was $6 3 years ago) and the cashier is waiting for her tip before she'll place your order. I walk off. I'm not mad at her. Inflation is a bitch, I'd probably do the same in her situation.

A driver hits your car while..driving. She pulls over briefly (long enough for me to take a picture of the car and plates) and drives off.

How do I know airlines are not cutting back on plane maintenance.

How do I know that property managers are not cutting back on elevator maintenance for high rise buildings which I use when mining fiat.

You dial 911 3 times in 25 years in the most recent 2 years and the police have never showed up. And I don't dial 911 for silly shit.

You go to the police station to file a report and the officer at the desk is rude, disrespectful, clearly does not want to be at the window doing customer service, let alone deal with your accident report.

You return to police station 2 days later to get a copy of the report. The printout is useless because they are out of printer ink. And in the report the perp was driving my car and lived at my address. And the current officer thought I cared how that might have gotten messed up.

Oh, and you can add to that I caught a $36 parking ticket for being 3 minutes over on the meter, bc the 911 dispatcher did not even know where precinct 9 was and sent me to the wrong address.

Meanwhile property tax going up, crime on the up.

The city of brotherly love.
