Tech co.'s always face the pressure of the free market. Freedom and privacy tech becoming better and popular will result in them rethinking their business models.

But there is no such pressure that is exerted on bureacrats, who are free to do with our data whatever their whims and fancies command them to. The 'Digital India' initiative is a massive culprit.
